Legacy

Airbus Group Australia Pacific is proud to be a long term partner with Legacy. In 2016, Airbus Group Australia Pacific is supporting "Pozieres...Our Legacy 2016 Tour". The project involves taking up to 100 Legacy youths on an educational study tour to the Western Front Battlefields, with the signature event being the Commemoration of the Battle of Pozieres on 23 July 2016.

In previous years, Airbus Group Australia Pacific has been the naming rights sponsor of the Defence Charity Ball. The annual event raises funds to support Legacy in their charity work providing services to Australian families suffering financially and socially after the incapacitation or death of a spouse or parent, during or after their Defence Force service.

The charity cares for 100,000 widows and 1,900 children and disabled dependents throughout Australia.

Historical Aircraft Restoration Society

Airbus Group Australia Pacific continues its long-standing support of the Caribou aircraft in Australia. The company provided Caribou maintenance from 1964 to the fleet’s retirement with the RAAF in 2009. HARS maintains two Caribous in pristine flying display and Airbus Group Australia Pacific is pleased to continue its relationship with the Grande Dame of the Sky.

The Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) is a not for profit organisation, specialising in the restoration, preservation, maintenance, operation and display of heritage aircraft. Since 1979 they have amassed a collection of flying aircraft which is the envy of the world. Ranging from the iconic Lockheed Constellation airliner now through to the Caribous, the fleet will be joined shortly by an F-111 bomber for static display.

Based at the Illawarra Regional Airport, near Wollongong NSW, the collection is open throughout the year and volunteers are always on hand to show the museum to the public.
