Health, Safety and Environment

The Airbus in Australia Pacific Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Department is a specialised group having responsibility for safety, health and environment across all Airbus workplaces within Australia and New Zealand.

Key functions of the HSE Department are to:

• Develop, direct and support all business units in strategic health, safety and environmental practice to manage culture and compliance with relevant regulations and standards both within Australia and New Zealand.

• Lead the strategic development, operational implementation and assurance of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS). The HSEMS is underpinned by and aligned to the standards of ISO14001:2015, AS/NZS4801:2001, OHSAS18001:2007 and ICAO Annex 19 (SMS) to ensure a consistent and collaborative approach with the aviation safety management.

• Develop, implement and communicate the Health Management System inclusive of health screening, surveillance, early intervention and injury triage and AOD.
